Every correct answer earns your team a point, resulting in 50 points for an exemplary game.
But the excitement doesn't end there. There's more. NYC Trivia League adds an added layer of fun with its bonus points system. Each day, the top 25 teams are awarded additional points. The top 10 teams earning five bonus points and the next 15 receiving 3. Throughout the week, the top 50 teams also earn bonus points Top 25 teams getting 10 and the next 25 receiving five.
To calculate your overall league score, we take your baseline score and adjust it to a 100-point score, considering the bonus points of 15 which are awarded each week. For example, a perfect basic score, 50 points is multiplied by the number 85, and the bonus points are added up to reach a full 100.
This system of points adds an element of competition that is engaging to our trivia evenings. It not only rewards knowledge but also a consistent and strategic planning.
